Trio Forestera Concert

Living Legends
The Living Legends concert is a performance of music and poetry that pays tribute to ordinary people with extraordinary lives. Like King Maurice, who dedicates his life to crafting luthier wood, and other unsung workers whose poetic journeys stand out as much for their exemplary paths as for their lack of recognition. It is a tribute to those in the shadows, upon whom we are shining the spotlight.
Interspersed between these poetic tales is the baroque music of Weiss, the meditative pieces of Arvo Pärt, and works by composer Pascal Quoquochi Sasseville. This concert is a journey through storytelling, poetry, and both classical and contemporary music. The texts are written and recited by Alexandre Éthier, who performs alongside original creations by the Forestare trio. Made up of guitarists Simon Auger, Olivier Labossière, and Alexandre Éthier, the trio is defined by virtuosity, sensitivity, and artistic maturity. You will be transported by these artists, who have been collaborating together for over 25 years.
Friday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m.
At St. Andrew's Church, 89A Rue Principale Nord, Sutton.
Tickets also available at the Sutton Tourist Information Office, 27 Principale North, Sutton.
Balade & Mélodie

Balade & Mélodie: A lyrical immersion in the heart of nature
A lyrical immersion in the heart of nature
Balade & Mélodie (Walk & Melody) offers an immersive experience combining lyrical singing and the natural environment, built around the theme “culture and nature.” Taking place on the Village-Mountain trail in Sutton, this activity invites participants on a peaceful forest walk, punctuated by a cappella performances by lyrical singers.
The goal of this project is to offer a unique sensory and artistic experience, where classical singing blends harmoniously with the natural environment. This original initiative encourages a meeting between music and nature. By placing the stage in the heart of the forest, Balade & Mélodie also aims to make classical singing accessible to a wide audience, contributing to the democratization of this art form.
This year, two Balade & Mélodie days will allow the public, while enjoying a short walk along the Village-Mountain trail, to hear different repertoires performed by three exceptional classical singers: Melissa Connelly (soprano), Rebecca Charland-Nadeau (mezzo-soprano), and Francis Martel-Filteau (baritone).
